Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Implement high performance, resilient APIs.
2. Develop micro-services and hierarchical web-services.
3. Create distributed and parallel tools and services.
4. Work on systems ranging from a public or private cloud to a decent laptop.
5. Ingest, process, and deliver large quantities of disparate data types.
6. Handle large files, small files, such as JSON metadata files, video files, HSI imagery, satellite, aerial, or unmanned aircraft data.
7. Manage high volume & bitrate content streams such as those from UHD drone videos or aerial imagery, as well as micro-record streams such as those from well-heads or residential sensors.
8. Grow with the company and expand your role alongside fulfilling existing needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Must have experience with:

1. Tomcat, Spring framework & other Java development environments.
2. Micro-services, API (REST, JSON) implementation.
3. Installation, configuration, deployment and utilization of some or all of:
1. Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar products.
2. Lucene, Solr or similar products.
3. Docker or similar products.
4. 3rd party tool integration.
5. JSON, XML, data movement and manipulation.
6. API specification and schema authoring and editing.
