Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to build applications and enhance customer experiences.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure and/or distributed systems.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.

The Cloud Onboarding team is focused on accelerating product-led adoption and expanded usage of Google Cloud. Our team aims to enable prospects and customers of all segments and sizes, regardless of cloud expertise to quickly and easily onboard Google Cloud Platform (GCP), provide a seamless transition from acquisition, to conversion, and finally to expansion. We’re responsible for simplifying and automating onboarding, solving painful internal processes, and removing unnecessary friction that cause onboarding delays or customer dissatisfaction.

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer, you will drive expanded product usage and adoption through technological solutions driven by AI/ML.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $231,000-$339,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across the Google Cloud onboarding organization.
  • Drive expanded product usage and adoption through technological solutions driven by AI/ML.
  • Develop technology strategy and phased plans to drive product improvements or process simplifications.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders across Google Cloud to drive alignment and deliver customer value.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML, including Generative AI, to improve the cloud onboarding experience.
