Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of Engineers, Designers, & Technicians as they improve product designs and manufacturing processes in our business.
2. Provide strong leadership by taking responsibility for the performance of the department, including timely completion of projects, and providing guidance in design decisions made by the engineering staff.
3. Review new designs and recommend modifications to minimize cost, ensure quality, safety, and conform to production capabilities and limitations. Recommend design modifications to permit the most favorable manufacturing methods.
4. Critique manufacturing processes for cost effectiveness, productivity, quality, safety, and feasibility.
5. Oversee investigation, justification, and purchase of manufacturing/automation equipment.
6. Develop and improve engineering practices and policies necessary for the growth of our business.
7. Provide technical engineering support for design and manufacturing issues.
8. Provide timely response and resolution to safety, quality, and production issues.

Qualifications/Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
2. 5+ years of Engineering experience with 3+ years of Management experience.
3. At least 5 years of machinery experience.
4. Automation Implementation experience.
5. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Analytical and technical skills in both technical and business areas.
7. Functional understanding of cost accounting.
8. Quick learning ability for new tools and systems.
9. Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
