COMPANY OVERVIEW

This team includes highly experienced professionals from military and OEM test organizations and operates a certified FAA Part 145 avionics repair station.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Machinist II, you will fabricate metal components used in aircraft and facilities, focusing on CNC machining, manual milling, and sheet metal fabrication. Using SolidWorks and other CAD programs, you'll work with various aviation metals, including steel, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium. Your work will support aircraft modifications and prototype development, adhering to FAA regulations and OSHA safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operated CNC and manual milling machines to fabricate metal parts based on CAD drawings.
Use SolidWorks and computer-aided design (CAD) programs for drafting complex 3D parts.
Perform rapid prototyping and metal fabrication for aircraft modification projects.
Work with various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and magnesium.
Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations and OSHA safety standards
Maintain tool control and follow FOD (Foreign Object Debris) procedures for workplace safety
Support parts inventory management and assist in shipping/ receiving tasks when needed
Support aircraft modifications and avionics installations, ensuring FAA and OSHA standards compliance.
Collaborate with the avionics and maintenance teams to develop and prototype aircraft components.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in machining, particularly with CNC, manual milling, and CAD
United States Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma
2+ years of experience in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for 3D modeling and metal fabrication
Knowledge of avionics systems and experience in aircraft modification is a strong plus!
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred
Familiarity with aviation metals and aircraft maintenance
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Available to travel on occasion as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing and walking on various surfaces in a range of temperatures (-15°F to 115°F)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Vision corrected to 20/20 or sufficient to meet job demands.
Continuous mental and visual attention requiring constant alertness or activity
