Role Summary: Flowserve is seeking a Machinist responsible for the set-up and operation of manual lathes and CNC machines. This position requires expertise in precision tool grinding, experimental machinist work, and the use of measuring equipment. The ideal candidate should have the ability to accurately machine to within a +/- .001 tolerance and be comfortable working in English and Metric systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate manual and CNC machines for castings
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Achieve precision machining to +/- .001 tolerance
- Utilize various measuring equipment
- Operate jib and overhead cranes for large castings
- Adhere to all Safety Procedures & Policy
Requirements:
- 3-5 years machining experience
- Expertise in reading blueprints and interpreting tolerances
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
- Machinist certification or training
- Experience in high mix, low volume manufacturing
- Forklift certification
