Annual Base Salary Range: $80,000+ (variance based on experience and skill set)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing maintenance and repair services for CNC machine tools at customer locations or remotely. The position requires significant travel within a multi-state region, along with working at our Technical Center when not on the road.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Machine Installation, Maintenance, and Repairs:

    • Install, maintain, and repair CNC machines at customer sites.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Create and update technical documentation related to service activities.
    • Develop, prepare, and analyze reports on service performance and customer feedback.
  • Customer Support and Training:

    • Assist and train customer service engineers on the installation and maintenance of new product lines.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional communication and service.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work collaboratively with customer service engineers and internal teams to address technical issues.
    • Manage challenging customer situations positively, respond promptly to needs, and solicit feedback to enhance service quality.
  • Miscellaneous:

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
    • Experience with CNC machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.
  • Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
    • Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
    • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Adaptability to changes in the work environment and ability to manage competing demands.
  • Travel Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel 50% or more within a multi-state region, including driving and flying as needed.
    • Employee will work at the Technical Center when not visiting customer sites.
