With Cadence Protium prototyping platforms, design and verification teams can rapidly bring up a prototype and provide a pre-silicon platform for early software development, system validation, and hardware regressions.

Cadence is the leader in hardware emulation-prototyping technologies and products. Cadence’s FPGA-based prototyping system platform sets standards on performance-utilization, ease of use, and congruence with emulation models.

This is a Full-time position. The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for the development of new features and algorithms to improve the Protium Platform, mainly in partitioning and optimization algorithms. The Lead Software Engineer will accomplish this by carefully discussing the implementation specification with the team spread across different geographies. The candidate is also expected to work with the technical support lead and key customers to resolve implementation or usage issues.

Qualification And Requirements

1. Bachelors in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or a Masters Degree
2. Ideal candidate should have coursework in Algorithms, Data Structures, etc.
3. The candidate should have strong coding skills in C++ and be well versed with at least one other scripting language like Perl or Python.

The annual salary range for California is $92,400 to $171,600. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
