Software Development Engineer III wanted by Egencia LLC in Chicago, IL.
Application Development and Programming: This Includes:
- Applying knowledge of software design principles, data structures and/or design patterns and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, optimized and modular with good naming conventions;
- Using the understanding of software frameworks and how to leverage them to write simpler code, using this knowledge when leading code reviews; and
- Identifying design system components capable of being inner-sourced out to the larger organization
Collaboration: This Includes:
- Proactively reaching out to peers across the organization to build an understanding of cross dependencies and share approaches to aid problem solving;
- Coordinating bringing together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to customer issues; and
- Compiling and reporting on major operational or technical initiatives (like RCAs) or UX research to larger groups, whether via written or oral means.
Innovation: This Includes:
- Identifying opportunities around policies/ processes to increase efficiency across organizational boundaries.
Design Thinking: This Includes:
- Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative insights of customer research and business analytics to drive insights and solutions;
- Defining the problem with cross-functional design and research peers;
- Seeking out and work to understand customer needs, motivations and challenges; and
- Utilizing the customer lens to understand problems deeper in the stack.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field plus four (4) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required experience/skills. Must also have four (4) years of experience with Javascript, React, Unit testing and CSS; three (3) years of experience with Java and Webpack and one (1) year of experience with Jenkins and GitHub. May work from home within commuting distance to office. Salary range: $123,614-$178,500.
