Job Description:

As a Drone Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in our start-up, contributing to the design, construction, and testing of our medical delivery drone systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Drone Systems: Design, prototype, and manufacture drone systems, including their airframe, power systems, and propulsion systems.
  • System Integration: Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate other components and systems into the drone, such as computer vision, autopilot, and command and control systems.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct extensive testing of the drone systems to ensure they meet our performance and reliability requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify issues with drone systems.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of design choices, system specifications, testing procedures, and maintenance protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in drone or aerospace system design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of aerodynamics, materials, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with CAD software and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, team-working, and communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment.
