Senior Full-Stack Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Full-Stack Software Development Engineer to join our team, contributing to the rearchitecting of Blurb's technological infrastructure. This project involves modernizing our platform using the latest technologies, with a focus on innovation, scalability, and cutting-edge performance.
The primary focus will be on full-stack development, with an emphasis on front-end technologies while leveraging robust back-end infrastructure to support scalable, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating seamless user experiences, has a deep technical understanding of modern software practices, and always has the customer in mind.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with a primary focus on front-end technologies like React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Collaborate with a talented team to rebuild our current website, ensuring seamless integration with both new and existing systems.
- Contribute to the back-end as needed, ensuring integration with cloud-based services and maintaining system reliability.
- Work with cloud services, particularly AWS, utilizing CDK for infrastructure as code.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity and ensure robust deployment practices.
- Engage in detailed code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Stay current with modern development practices and technologies, driving continuous improvement across our platforms.
Technical Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on full-stack development, with notable strength in front-end technologies.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, TypeScript, and Java.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS and using AWS CDK for infrastructure management.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools, especially TeamCity.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices architecture, such as Docker.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
