What will your day look like?

  • Responsible for creating and improving robotic systems that enhance productivity and efficiency across different applications.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design, program, test, and deploy robots and automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and/or modify complex electrical controls, including automated control systems.
  • Read, understand, and design electrical schematics, and mechanical prints.
  • Implement and install automated control systems.
  • Write and debug code for robotic control systems.
  • Support the needs of manufacturing in programming, troubleshooting, machine design improvements and automation/process training.
  • Provide engineering solutions for manufacturing/equipment problems. Address and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Design and specify electrical equipment and controls for new projects and upgrades.
  • Perform thorough testing and validation of automated systems to ensure they meet performance standards and requirements
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics, process and automation.
  • Spend approximately 50% of time on the plant floor.
  • Other duties assigned by management.


What will you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Technology, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar fields is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Safety oriented, strong work ethic and self-motivated.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to use various hand tools and shop equipment.
  • Must be able to work independently, demonstrate effective initiative and good judgement.
  • Goal oriented, confident, outgoing and able to work well under pressure.
  • Fully understands complex electrical schematics, blueprints, electrical code and manuals.
  • Ethernet and/or Ethernet/IP network knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, robotics, process, pneumatics, motor controls, AC/DC motors, VFD’s, and servos.
  • Must possess a good understanding of vision systems
  • Experience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PLC programming for Allen Bradley and Omron, HMI programming for Allen Bradley and Proface, Robotic and Robotic Controls, and Vision system knowledge required.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, bend, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see, and lift to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as reading handwritten and or typed material and must have the ability to focus. Must be mobile and transfer from building to building.
