Overview

The primary responsibilities of the Industrial Engineer include updating and maintaining our engineered labor standards. Additionally, this role involves identifying and analyzing key metric data to support ongoing operational processes, streamline workloads, and drive new initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and exceptional analytical abilities, complemented by expertise in data management and effective communication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our operations!

A Day In The Life:

  • Assemble and maintain relevant data sets and information pertinent to store operations (i.e. Time Studies, Labor Standards, etc.)
  • Assist in modeling different labor scenarios and assess the impact of the changes
  • Become a SME (subject matter expert) in our labor standards and ensure the proper inputs, maintenance and application.
  • Analyze data and store processes with an investigative mindset to identify trends, opportunities and pain points and recommend appropriate action to be taken
  • Partner with field and store management to ensure accurate labor standards and address outliers; providing feedback and problem-solving recommendations to ensure resolution
  • Support the Industrial Engineer Manager in monitoring store processes, building relationships with business partners and developing tools and presentations
  • Support continuous process improvement from back room through check out
  • Aid in the development of best practices based on Engineering statistics and methodology
  • Assist with implementation of new technology or initiatives within the store network

You'll Comne With:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in projects related to process design, work measurement, productivity improvement, cost reduction and project implementation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related analytical discipline
  • Six Sigma, LEAN, or Continuous Improvement training a plus
  • Utilize MS Excel/Access to develop tools for analysis and modeling
  • Knowledge of statistics and probability
  • Knowledge of LMS and time study softwarePreferred experience working in a retail distribution or stores environment with labor management systems, work measurement, standard data, and predetermined time systems and tools (MOST) with an emphasis on time study expertise.
  • Development, maintenance, and implementation of management observation and accountability programs
