Senior Retail / Visual Merchandising Designer
Our client, a Manufacturing / Retail company for luxury cosmetic brands, is currently seeking a Senior Retail / Visual Merchandising Designer to join their team Full-time!
This position is onsite 5 days per week in Melville, Long Island. Your hours will be 8:30-5:30PM.
Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, develop, and execute overall design concepts for various retail and visual merchandising projects
- Research and select materials and finishes to use for each project
- Provide feedback, and motivate Junior Designers
- Able to take a project over the finish line with special attention to detail and final elements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical drawings comply with the design solution
- Organize and conduct client meetings to determine their needs and requirements
- Provide needed information to client on design specifications
- Obtain client approval and ensure integration into the overall design
Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in retail design; luxe design is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
- Strong attention to detail, including color and material finishes
- Skilled in merchandising and display of products, preferably in beauty
- Expert sketching and rendering skills
- Accomplished Graphic Design and communication skills to present and illustrate ideas
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
- Demonstrated ability to work with teams through project completion
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Advanced knowledge in 3D software, 3DS Max preferred
