BAE Systems in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Technician to work in its Electrical Engineering Lab. This position will support complex electronic products and support equipment through design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.

Skills Required
- Proficient use of electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
- Fabrication, assembly, testing, and inspection based on engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Conduct testing and generate report data.
- Ability to work as part of a group or team.
- Experience in assembling electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
- Ability to assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components.
- Fabrication of electrical parts from sketches/drawings and preparation of samples for testing.
- Operation of equipment necessary to fulfill the listed duties.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
- Proficient use of complex fabrication equipment.
- Ability to fabricate and assemble components to precise tolerances and standards.
- Strong understanding of complex engineering drawings and information.
- Assist engineers in the design and development of new electronic systems, cabling, and test equipment.
- Develop and prepare schematics, design specifications, and parts lists, or provide recommendations regarding these items.
- Review designs and specifications of test equipment for adequacy.
- Conduct tests or experiments, including setup, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of various equipment.
- Troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems.
- Determine necessary engineering/test data, extract relevant information, and perform calculations to analyze test data.
- Create test procedures, conduct tests, record and analyze data, and write reports.
- Knowledge of or proficiency in manufacturing and quality standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610.
- Minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering product development, test, or production environment.
- 2-year technical degree.
