Steampunk Senior Integration Engineer - McLean, Virginia

As a Senior Integration Engineer, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice developing APIs and integration capabilities to connect data, services, and systems to help our customers achieve their mission. We are looking for candidates with experience with cloud platform services, understanding business requirements and implementing complex integrations.

Contributions

  1. Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on moderately complex problems.
  2. Able to visualize and translate business integration requirements into functional execution requirements.
  3. Develop APIs, micro-services, and integrations using a broad range of software programming tasks to ensure that their systems integrations are functional.
  4. Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration projects.
  5. Have a wide breadth of integration experience with RDMS systems, SAP, Salesforce, SharePoint, NoSQL data sources, and various ERP integration experience.
  6. Well-versed with EIA patterns and integration best practices associated with Microservices.
  7. Able to design and implement multi-level secure integration networks.
  8. Communicate with business stakeholders to clarify and document integration requirements.
  9. Responsible for maintaining consistency between Salesforce sandbox environments, from Development through QA, UAT, and Production.
  10. Manage deployments between sandbox environments.
  11. Negotiate, plan, and manage all release activities.
  12. Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality.
  13. Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time.
  14. Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
  15. Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go/No-Go reviews.
  16. Provide regular release reporting to stakeholders and project team.
  17. Work closely with development staff to resolve build problems and merge conflicts.
  18. Continually work towards making improvements in the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation.
  19. Maintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.

Qualifications

Required:

  1. Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.
  2. BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience.
  3. 5 Years of Experience with one or more clouds (i.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  4. 5 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket.
  5. 5 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages.
  6. 5 Years of Experience with one or more integration technologies, such as Mulesoft.
  7. Experience developing API Management solutions and micro-services.

Preferred:

  1. AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification.
  2. 5 Years of application development experience in an Agile environment.
  3. Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes.
  4. Experience designing, implementing, and documenting APIs.
  5. Experience utilizing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, Travis CI.
  6. Experience implementing Automated Testing frameworks to test APIs and integrations.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  8. Experience building ETL and platform event integrations with Salesforce.

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk’s total compensation package for employees.
