Role Overview:

As a Senior Drainage Engineer in our Civil Design Group, you will spearhead the planning and management of transportation drainage projects for public sector clients. Typical projects may be for cities, counties, and transportation departments. Our services encompass hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, roadway drainage system design, BMP design, stormwater permitting, and more.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
  • Complete and review design documentation thoroughly.
  • Foster team growth through knowledge sharing and learning.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Biosystems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of drainage design experience.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • MN PE license or ability to take PE exam.
  • Capability to lead drainage tasks and manage projects.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills.
  • Experience with hydrologic or hydraulic modeling software (SWMM, HydroCAD, HY-8, Microstation, Geopak, ORD, Civil 3d, AutoCAD).
