Business Analyst – Web Projects - A

This is a full-time position with Tecknomic and the project is with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). This is a hybrid role (3 days a week onsite). OCTO is looking for a Business Analyst with creative instincts to join its web development team.

The District of Columbia Office of the Chief Technology Officer is seeking to acquire a Business Analyst to support the day-to-day projects within the Digital Service Team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data to help inform our web development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web projects, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate project progress.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze web development project requirements and develop project plans
2. Create user stories, use cases, and wireframes
3. Research and evaluate potential solutions to web development problems
4. Monitor project progress and create reports for stakeholders
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
6. Identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions
7. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in web development, computer science, or a related field
2. 5+ years of experience in web development and business analysis
3. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
4. Excellent understanding of web applications built in Drupal
5. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies
6. Knowledge of web development best practices and industry standards
7. Experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
