Test Engineer

Education: The individual must be a self-starter with strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and must be skillful in prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment along with excellent communication skills in relaying and enforcing these priorities within and across the teams.

Responsibilities:

1. Create concise test plans with minimal requirements.
2. Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks, service-isolated integration tests, and end-to-end tests for web-scale services.
3. Automate release processes for fast release.
4. Analyze failures, debug & track them, and drive them to resolution.

Required Skillset:

1. 3-5 years of testing experience testing web applications.
2. Strong understanding of Java and Java-based web architecture.
3. Experience testing RESTful web service APIs.
4. Proficient in at least one scripting language (Python, Shell, Ruby, Perl).
5. GUI automation skills are highly recommended since this is a front-end testing role.

Preferred Skillset:

1. Experience with working on mobile automation platforms.
2. Experience working with Android mobile testing with Espresso.
3. Experience working with iOS mobile testing tools and suites, specifically with Kif.
4. Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Watir, TestNG, Silk Test, Win Runner).
5. Any experience with Swift programming would be strongly preferred.

Soft Skills:

1. Excellent technical, written, and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
2. Adept at working as a team as well as a solo player.
3. Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
4. Must be proactive and self-manageable.
5. Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
