Position Summary:
The Electromechanical Technician will be essential in maintaining, modifying, and creating process and production assets, including equipment and test stations. This role blends theoretical knowledge and practical technical work across electrical, mechanical, and computer fields. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, material scientists, data scientists, operations personnel, and quality personnel to produce world-class energy storage materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary contact for pre-pilot and pilot-scale facilities, managing equipment setup, maintenance, and modification.
- Conduct, monitor, and document product tests.
- Maintain test systems and laboratory areas.
- Follow and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment.
- Resolve operational issues and malfunctions.
- Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and scientists to support daily operations and resolve technical problems.
- Perform and oversee testing to ensure products meet quality standards.
Experience/Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of relevant industry experience. (Experience with start-ups preferred).
- Strong background and/or technical degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields. (Statistical analysis skills preferred).
- Excellent verbal, written, computer, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to mechanical safety and EHS compliance.
- Experience with mechanical and electrical equipment with solid understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
