Network Engineer

Overview

Our client, a growing company in Duncan, SC, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in Fortinet technologies. This role involves heavy involvement in the migration from Cisco to Fortinet across global networks, focusing on firewall refresh projects and ASA upgrades nearing end-of-life. The position requires on-site presence five days a week with potential for remote work upon permanent hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute firewall refresh projects, transitioning from Cisco to Fortinet.
• Implement network infrastructure changes and upgrades to support 13 production line relocations and 18 new line installations.
• Design and deploy LAN configurations, ensuring seamless integration with relocated production lines.
• Reinstall and configure firewalls across facilities, emphasizing the necessity of on-site presence for timely and effective execution.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Fortinet firewall technologies, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking technologies (ASA, switches, routers) with the ability to transition to Fortinet platforms.
• Hands-on experience with BGP encryption, SD-WAN, VPN, and wide area network technologies.
• Strong project management skills, capable of leading network infrastructure projects from planning through execution.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
