Product Engineer
Location: Foothill Ranch, CA
Pay: 70k-80k
We are currently seeking a dynamic Product Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Production and Quality, this role plays a crucial part in supporting new and existing manufacturing processes, product enhancements, and tooling requirements. The Product Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot production issues, conduct investigative testing, validate products and processes, and oversee prototype and pilot production builds. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing data to drive continuous improvement initiatives and managing process validation and product transfers across different manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on cable assembly manufacturing tasks as part of routine duties.
- Interpret customer specifications and drawings to develop comprehensive quotes and Bills of Material, providing technical assessments and cost estimates to the sales team.
- Evaluate project requirements, including tooling, testing, and timing, communicating any design concerns or manufacturability enhancements to the sales department.
- Research, plan, and implement manufacturing processes for both new and existing products, assessing design feasibility and recommending improvements.
- Address complex manufacturing challenges and assist in resolving variance issues.
- Identify and implement cost-effective improvements in processes, workflow, tooling, quality, and safety.
- Design and specify tools, fixtures, dies, and equipment as needed.
- Previous experience in manufacturing engineering is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is required.
- Ideally, a minimum of 5 years of experience in cable assembly manufacturing or similar electronic assembly.
- Strong problem-solving skills and responsiveness.
- Attention to detail, high productivity, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
- Ability to perform duties satisfactorily in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
