Job Description Summary :

The Automation Engineering Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration and management of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and other automation systems on GMP manufacturing equipment and instruments. The role involves managing initial installations, maintenance, backups, change control, validation, and system retirement. The Automation Engineer will support GxP systems, such as Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Maximo, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company SOPs.

Essential Functions :

• Perform GMP/GLP activities.
• Administer SCADA, BAS, Maximo, and other automation engineering systems.
• Monitor system performance and operability.
• Develop and execute Change Controls to enhance systems and operations.
• Create and execute validation protocols, reports, and lifecycle documents.
• Manage automation systems for bioprocess equipment like single-use bioreactors, chromatography controllers, ultrafiltration skids, and benchtop instruments.
• Author Change Controls and test scripts, serving as Subject Matter Expert for applicable changes.
• Recommend and integrate new bioprocess equipment and Process Analytical Technologies (PAT).
• Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects and daily requests.
• Coordinate with Business, Managed Services, and IT to facilitate IT Change Request processes.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base of solutions and assist Managed Services teams in troubleshooting and repairs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :

• Extensive experience in SCADA, BAS, and Maximo system administration.
• Proficiency in managing automation systems in a GMP/GLP environment.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience creating and executing validation protocols.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and coordinate across teams.
