Electrical Superintendent - Solar

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our growing solar company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hands-on electrical work, with preferred experience in the solar industry. As an Electrical Superintendent, you will oversee and coordinate the electrical aspects of our solar projects, ensuring that work is completed on time, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role is based in Orlando, Florida but will require travel to various project sites as needed. All travel expenses will be covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the electrical work for solar projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Lead a team of electricians and electrical subcontractors, providing guidance and support to complete projects efficiently.
• Review electrical plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure proper installation and functionality of electrical systems.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical components, including wiring, inverters, and electrical panels.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions to keep projects on track.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work, project progress, and any changes or issues encountered.
• Ensure all electrical work adheres to company standards, industry codes, and best practices.
• Travel to project sites as needed for inspections, coordination, and supervision (travel expenses covered by the company).

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Superintendent or in a similar leadership role, with a focus on hands-on electrical work.
• Preferred : Experience in the solar industry , including familiarity with photovoltaic (PV) systems and solar energy components.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and coordinate with other departments.
• Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred but not required).
