WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The DevOps Systems Engineer will ensure the overall system reliability, uptime, health, and performance of the Kaseya infrastructure. You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand the architecture and design of Kaseya’s environment. As a key player in this team, you will architect, automate, and optimize our systems, ensuring seamless deployments and robust performance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
An experienced DevOps Systems Engineer to be the driving force behind our cutting-edge tech infrastructure.
THE SCHEDULE:
This is an in-office role based out of Dundalk at least 3 days a week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist team members with maintaining complex environments that service applications, components, and self-service/internal tooling in Kaseya’s production and working environments.
- Assist team members with ensuring quality systems monitoring using in-house tooling.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers from the various software application engineering teams to help ensure proper documentation, and process consistency to assure end-to-end reliability and awareness.
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively; contribute to improvements for processes based on post-mortem analysis.
- Participate in a rotational on-call program; enhance troubleshooting techniques and utilities to ensure quick resolution to service-impacting issues.
- Communicate with Users, Support, and Development teams to resolve technical issues.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Linux OS, services and networking.
- Comfortable working on the command-line.
- Familiar with system lifecycle management tools and practices.
- Experience with software development, automation, infrastructure as code, and/or data-driven analysis.
- Comfortable with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Salt.
- Hands-on experience with mainline programming and scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Familiar with standard tools and platforms that enable continuous delivery such as GitLab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, or Docker.
- Hands-on experience with virtualized and bare metal infrastructure; KVM and OpenStack experience preferred.
- Preference for monitoring and automating everything.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Takes pride in the documentation and developing co-workers and systems around them.
- Self-motivated & willing to learn.
