Senior Software Engineer, AWS Directory Service

AWS Directory Service is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work on a fully managed service that allows customers to set up and run Active Directory in the AWS cloud. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a secure, complex, highly available directory topology for our customers, as well as facilitating automated monitoring, fail-over and recovery, and automated patching, updates, and replication.

As part of the AWS Identity organization, you will be involved in pioneering work in identity, access management, security, and providing massively scaled, distributed platform capabilities to all of AWS. We are looking for passionate engineers to work with us on building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
