Job Title: Senior Data & Software Engineer
Reports to: Head of Innovation and Consumer Technology
Location: Atlanta - Hybrid
FLSA Status: Exempt

SUMMARY:
As the Senior Data and Software Engineer at UP Entertainment, you will be at the forefront of advancing our technological vision and strategy. This role requires technical expertise to develop innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and support our growth objectives. You will collaborate cross-functionally, architect scalable solutions, and ensure the integration of secure, privacy-first data insights. Your deep knowledge in software architecture, data and analytics engineering, cloud computing, and security will be critical in guiding our technology projects and influencing key decision-making processes. Reporting to the Head of Innovation and Consumer Technology, the position also encompasses various projects, including ETL tasks, data analysis, data modeling, monitoring, quality assurance, security, automation, AI and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Cross-functional Collaboration : Working with various teams throughout UP Entertainment, execute a comprehensive technology strategy that leverages data analytics and innovative solutions utilizing automation, machine learning and A.I. to drive business value and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Solution Architecture : Architect scalable, robust solutions that address business challenges, ensuring the integration of secure, privacy-first data insights to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise : Maintain and apply deep technical expertise in software architecture, data and analytics engineering, cloud computing, and security.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Manage and create comprehensive documentation for processes, updates, and periodic reports.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in cloud computing, data analytics, software development, or cybersecurity is a plus.

  • Problem Solving and Analysis: Identifies significant problems and opportunities.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, in addition to the skills in the Education/Experience noted above an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Google Workspace and the following below:
  • Preferred experience with solutions and database architecture engineering, business intelligence tools, data analysis, ETL, and workflow automation.
  • Strong experience with content management tools such as WordPress or Drupal is an advantage.

OTHER:
This is a hybrid job role, with a combination of telecommuting workdays and in-office workdays.
