CNC Machine Operator and Fabricator II

• Selecting dies, tools, and punches for material thickness
• Choosing the appropriate CNC program for laser cutting
• Forming materials based on drawings using various radius dies
• Installing and aligning various punches and dies for different operations
• Monitoring equipment and tooling condition
• Performing first piece and in-progress inspection to ensure work meets requirements
• Adjusting equipment and safety devices as needed
• Training others in fabrication tasks as necessary
• Documenting actions by completing production and quality forms

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to use small hand and power tools safely
• Reading bills of materials and interpreting moderately to advanced complex drawings
• Basic computer skills
• Safely operating fabrication machinery

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or work experience and skill development equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a metal fabricator in a manufacturing environment preferred

Physical Demands:

• Lifting up to 75 lbs on an occasional basis
• Carrying up to 75 lbs on an occasional basis
• Pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis
