WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own hardware from concept generation to real world use
  • Use first principles physics as a basis for every decision
  • Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans
  • Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
  • Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
  • Travel to test sites as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in an immersive technical project (collegiate project teams or professional settings)
  • 5+ years of technical engineering experience in a professional experience
  • CAD skills (any platform) and ability to make high quality engineering drawings that meet industry standards
  • Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills
  • Experience with complex vehicle systems (propulsion, gearboxes, actuators, etc.)
  • High competence with, and fluid use of, engineering first principles
  • BS, M.Eng, MS or PhD in an engineering field
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in NX/Teamcenter
  • Experience with composite design, analysis and testing
  • Ability to integrate electronic components into mechanical designs (motors, controllers, sensors etc.)
  • Experience with machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and 3D printing
  • Experience with aircraft design, development and test
  • Strong hands on technical skills - both professional and hobby

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

US Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 USD. The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
