The role of the BI Developer is to drive business efficiencies by providing insights supported by thorough data driven analysis on key workflow, sales, and operational metrics. The position requires an analytical mindset with a willing to understand business processes, dive into business operational aspects, and develop streamlined reporting to drive business decisions. This individual should have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the business & technology teams to serve as the residential Power BI and analytics expert.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports the sales team in all their reporting & analytics needs that includes daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reporting
• Works with internal sales teams to ensure stock inventory reporting is accurate for customer replenishment and fulfillment
• Works with business partners, data analysts, IT to define data requirements and executes to streamline the data collection, transformation, and visualization
• Utilizes Power BI, data, and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information by developing refreshable and dynamic KPI reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis support for the business
• Serves as an expert data interpreter. Understands data and drives actionable insights from the data to support business decisions
• Builds automated, repeatable, and streamlined reports leveraging Power BI, data warehouse, and analytics best practices and standards
• Performs data analysis utilizing appropriate analytics methodologies and fosters data-driven decision-making by providing valuable consultative analytics support to sales and executive leadership
• Serves as a trainer for the BI team supporting other BI analysts for report automation, technical support, and knowledge sharing

Skills and Competencies

• Highly proficient with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, SSIS, Power BI, Data Modelling
• Proficient in writing SQL queries and use of Relational Keys, Select Queries, Joins, Data Modelling, Fact and Dimension Table Types, Different Schemas, DDL, DML
• Strong customer service and presentation skills being able to interact with customers and key business partners

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field; and/or equivalent combination of related experience and/or training
• 3+ years' experience in designing and developing datasets in either Power BI or Tableau for reporting and self-service BI
• 3+ years' experience in dimensional data modeling; star or other schemas
• 2+ years of recent direct experience with MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
• Highly proficient in data warehouse concepts and architectures
• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate a huge plus
