Selectek is partnering with a firm near Atlanta, Georgia to hire a highly-qualified Piping Designer on a six-month temp-to-perm basis. Candidates will be focused on piping and mechanical layout design for a company that specializes in civil and industrial projects. Client is moving quickly to interview candidates with their desired skills and characteristics!Expected Pay Range: $36-$44 per hour before conversionLocation: Atlanta, GeorgiaJob Duties:- Develop and design piping systems to include steam, boiler feed, condensate, cooling water and instrument air- Generate plans for complex piping systems that are fundamentally sound and esthetically pleasing- Review and interpret systems in PFD and P&ID drawings- Incorporate findings of piping stress analysis reports into designs- Check designs for compliance with ASME piping codes- Assist senior staff in reviewing vendor and other contract-related documents- Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced design staffJob Requirements:- Minimum of ten years of experience in piping design- Proficiency with 3D CAD software; AutoCAD Plant 3D is most frequently used- Experience working on industrial projects- Knowledge of ASME Section B31.1 and B31.3 piping codes- Ideal candidates have knowledge of steam and/or power generation, gas turbines and combined cycle plants, or constructionIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.To be considered for this position, apply via the link, or if email is more convenient, send an up-to-date resume to and reference this job posting.
