Job Description
The Swift Group is looking for a DevOps Engineer to provide engineering and programming support to projects and infrastructure support activities. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of all aspects of migrating hardware to the cloud, operating system updates, and networking resources (cloud and hardware.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist application teams with creation and configuration and deployment of systems and platforms.
- Work with teams to deploy new software and improve existing systems
- Designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- May manage websites including deployment and maintenance activities
Required Skills
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Experience working in Linux, Windows, and/or MacOS
- Scripting experience including at least one of the following: Perl, Python, Java, Ruby Experience working with cloud native technologies, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), and/or Serverless cloud technologies
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with configuration and management of databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB
- HS Diploma
- US citizenship with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required at start
Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience configuring, deploying, and securing Kubernetes and Docker platforms
