Senior Software Engineer

Work in a full-stack software development environment to help redesign the global insurance company’s IT and software tools utilized by its underwriters and internal professional staff in order to provide them with industry-leading software using modern tools and technologies invested in by the organization to support its software developers.

Build intuitive, efficient user interfaces using the latest stable release of Angular and TypeScript and help develop stable, scalable, secure, and performant APIs using the latest stable version of .Net Core, .Net 5, .NET 6, and Blazor WASM as well as knowledge of a front-end framework/library. Utilize modern design practices with HTML5 and SCSS and engage with and support users with real-time WebSocket communication using SignalR.

Perform Active Development functions in Azure using cloud-based data storage, such as Azure SQL, NoSQL, CosmosDB, Redis, and Blob Storage, and develop, create, and implement automated build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps for CI/CD. Improve the company’s IT-related performance and scalability with Serverless Azure Functions and logic applications and create and maintain relational databases, stored procedures, views, functions, etc.

Utilize IT and computer software engineering experience to build and maintain RESTful web services and to write effective unit, integration, and e2e tests. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and work closely with Business, Product, and Design teams to ensure successful implementation of requirements.

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering and three (3) years of experience in job offered or three (3) years of IT-based technical software/support engineering experience.

OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, THE EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the specialty field.
