Minimum Position Requirements
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university and 3+ years of experience. Or, 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong engineering aptitude, or four to ten years related experience and training.
Duties and Responsibilities
Position responsibilities include:
- Responsible for assigned projects and coordinate as needed
- Plan, manage and lead programs from concept through customer acceptance. This includes initial design analysis, prototyping, testing, iterative design and analysis, leading appropriate NPIP steps and transitioning programs to production.
- Ensure projects launch on-time and on budget.
- Implement process improvements to drive tighter capability of manufacturing processes
- Perform inspections based on specifications
- Organize risk assessments
- Interact directly with suppliers to obtain quotes for future investments
- Perform time studies on processes as needed
- Organize PFMEA Flow Charts and Control Plan creation
- Initiate BOM, Routing, and work instruction changes
- Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by Supervisor
Organizational Relationships
Reports to Ithaca Plant Manager. Maintains regular interface with all levels of plant management and Engineering Manager in Hopkinton, MA.
