Contract-to-Hire

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be developing the backend and frontend for delivery and supply chain with a fortune 500 Retailer. These applications serve as the source of truth for delivery data, deployment, DevOps, etc. You will be working with a team for 6 - 10 engineers that sit within the Supply Chain - Delivery Systems organization. Collectively, this team is building our solutions for product delivery, last mile delivery, etc.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with technology such as Java (versions 11 or greater) HTML, Prometheus, Quarkus, C*, Cassandra, Spring Boot, CSS, and Javascript/Typescript frameworks, an object-oriented programming language (preferably Java), Relational or noSQL database technology, cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, modern software design patterns
• Experience in cloud-based technologies and deployments – Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure
• Experience in effective data modeling with both Relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with security frameworks for user and services authorization and authentication
• Experience with creating and executing unit, functional, destructive and performance tests
• Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques
• Experience with version control system
• Experience in designing systems for High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Performance, Efficiency, and Security
• Exposure to developing technical roadmaps including work estimation, refactoring and modernizing legacy systems

Responsibilities:

70% - Execution and Delivery

• Writing, testing, debugging, optimizing software.
• Groom user stories in cooperation with Product Manager.
• Creates dashboards, logging, alerting to ensure issues are detected and addressed in a timely manner.

30% - Enablement and Support

• Provide application support for production applications.
• Field questions about domain from other teams.
• Actively monitor Service Level Objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues on design and discovery for new features.
