At L3Harris we require your curiosity, determination, and imagination in our endeavor to make the impossible possible.The EMI/EMC TEST engineer will be responsible for developing procedures, reports, and the execution of various EMI and power quality test activities for a multitude of systems ranging from submersible to space platforms recognized around the world. The EMI/EMC TEST engineer will also support niche fields related to Power Variation (MIL-STD-704), Multipaction, Corona Discharge, and TEMPEST on products being developed throughout L3Harris. This position is for an entry level engineer professional with a highly inquisitive desire to develop technical expertise.This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop new solutions, help grow as the next generation of EMI/EMC TEST engineers with a career path leading to the submittal of a candidacy for a position in the L3 Harris technical fellowship program.Essential Functions:Primary job responsibilities will include:Perform EMI Qualification test campaigns on cutting edge programsCoordinate test and verify EMI design requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through the qualification and sustainment of various L3 Harris systemsDevelop test procedures, and test reportsOther job responsibilities may include:Perform EMI/EMC, DO-160, MIL-STD-704 Power Quality, HIRF, Lightning, RF co-site and antenna coupling testingApply EMI engineering technology experience to document and solve complex problemsOccasional travel will be requiredQualifications :Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Engineering Physics Technology and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.Ability to obtain US DoD Secret Security ClearanceProfessional experience with electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding and filteringProfessional experience with RF and measurement instrumentation such as receivers, antennas, analyzers and amplifiersExperience developing detailed test reportsPreferred Additional Skills:US DoD Secret Security Clearance preferredInternational Association for Radio Telecommunications and Electromagnetics (iNARTE) EMI/EMC engineer certificationL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
