We have built out a modern cloud-based data platform for delivering robust analytic solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated, talented IT Data Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate should have an innovative spirit with a passion for solving complex cloud platform and data problems. You are a champion at enabling automation and have a relentless focus on designing and building data pipelines and models with high data quality. You are a continuous learner, eager to identify best practices and share knowledge with the team.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work with business customers, data science, and IT teams to gather requirements that drive data pipeline engineering and data modelling decisions.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines from our key internal/external source systems to our modern data platform.
- Enhance and maintain core platform ingestion, storage, modelling, and analytic resources.
- Embrace DevOps to quickly deploy high quality solutions with standard CI/CD and IaC practices.
- Proactively identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Identify incomplete data and data integration opportunities.
- Perform root cause analysis of system issues and identify and build solutions to resolve.
- Identify, develop, and maintain solutions that automate, simplify, and improve overall service delivery.
- Train, mentor, and share knowledge with other team members.
- Follow change management processes and procedures in-line with IT controls.
- Participate in on-call rotation with team and on-going support of data products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- Typically requires a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of experience engineering data analytic solutions.
- Ability to balance multiple assignments and shift gears when new priorities arise.
- Possess a strong work ethic, exceptional customer service, and commitment to delivering results to the organization.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills to both technical and non-technical audience at all levels within the organization.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively negotiate with other teams to create a mutually beneficial solution.
Technical Qualifications
- Experience orchestrating and operationalizing data pipelines with structured and semi-structured data sources.
- Experience enabling platform and pipeline automation with IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, Azure Dev Ops, etc.).
- Experience enabling data solutions for ingestion, storage, modelling, on cloud technologies platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Experience in data modelling and data warehousing techniques using cloud platforms (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, etc.).
- Experience working with analytic modelling tools (e.g. Power BI).
- Expert in writing complex SQL queries and understand the methods to tune query performance.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, etc.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and tooling.
Compensation
This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $92,500 - $138,700 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement
Employees may enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
Paid Time Off or Vacation
We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
