Job Description
Software Engineer (Java)
Contract to Perm
***Must have a DOD Secret Clearance in hand****
Responsibilities:
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others.
Work Experience and Skills:
- Participate in the SCRUM or Agile development methodology, including development of product backlogs, participation in sprints, reviews, and other meetings as requested by the Government PM.
- Perform Unit Testing in local/development environments and full regression testing in staging and production.
- Development of XML and Web Services Technologies.
- XML and Web Services technology (XML, SOA, XSLT, Schemas, Restful, Atom, XHTML).
- Build Scripts.
- COTS Integration.
- Web based and internal network Application Development (e.g., Web 2.0, Professional Networking, RSS, Wiki, workflow, etc.).
- Develop software applications which can be supported by a Virtual Machine Architecture.
- Routine maintenance, defect repair, updates to code resulting from lifecycle upgrades to the platforms that support the software application.
Required:
- 7+ years of experience.
