Salary range: $8,229.33 - $11,521.08 per monthJob DescriptionThe Virtual Desktop Engineer is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of the virtual desktop environment at STCU. This position provides second and third tier support for the VDI environments and focuses on designing and support of high-level system architectures to address emerging organizational needs while providing friendly, service oriented, and knowledgeable support for all employees.Core Job Requirements/OutcomesDeliver an exceptional end user experience in the VDI environment by designing and enhancing virtual desktop platforms and capabilities to meet current and future organizational and business unit needs and requirements.Manage overall VDI enhancements and initiatives by developing and deploying core operating systems, applications, and services to improve the capabilities and scope of our VDI platforms. Design and implement processes to ensure supportability, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery capabilities for all virtualized systems.```{=html}``` - Support VDI operations by troubleshooting issues and focusing on root cause identification, analysis and remediations and proactively identify and resolve challenges to ensure we meet or exceed established operations performance indicators. Create, manage, deploy and maintain OS images for VDI environments, applications packages, and perform routine and emergency threat and vulnerability mitigation as needed.```{=html}``` - Provide support and execution of strategic and operational initiatives by actively contributing to assigned projects as an engaged project team member.Other Essential FunctionsMaintain advanced knowledge relative to the administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies by completing established training curriculums and relevant skills training. Promote knowledge capture and distribution by creating and maintaining technical support knowledgebase articles, self-service guides and solution documentation in a central repository adhering to established standards and providing training and support for members of the IT team.```{=html}``` - Identify and implement process improvements and establish and enforce best practices with a focus on employee experience, continuous improvement and future state needs.Assist in the development and implementation of product roadmaps for included platforms to ensure proactive identificat
