Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Associate Test Engineer Trainees are core to KLA’s technology. We are always building our Associate Test Engineer Trainee talent community and are interested in learning about your background.
Great opportunity to work in high-tech, groundbreaking capital equipment manufacturing in the semiconductor industry. You will get hands-on experience with building optical systems, lasers, robotics, electrical, mechanical, supercomputer systems, software systems, and networks.
You will learn:
- How to interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Collect, log, and interpret data for daily reports.
- Prepare technical reports summarizing findings.
- Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
- Work effectively across different functional teams in different locations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with performing the set-up, calibration, and testing of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
- May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
- Work on assignments that are complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
- Simple troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a clean room manufacturing environment is required.
- You must be okay working 40 hours a week during the summer and 20 hours a week minimum during the school year.
- Basic understanding of optics, mechanical, and electrical principles is helpful.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrate excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem-solving, good time management, and task prioritization.
- Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement.
- You can stand, sit, bend, and periodically lift to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires less than 1 year of related experience.
