Safety Engineer

JOB SUMMARY FOR SAFETY ENGINEER:

• Provide support in tracking action items to help reduce Serious Injury in processes by working with 3rd party to complete safety improvements.
• Work with operations employees to create Standard Work (SW) and Safety FMEA’s (SFMEA) and find areas that have potential Serious Injury/Fatality High Energy and plan to engineer out the risk.
• Location: Pontiac, IL
• Hours:100% onsite 7 a.m – 3:30 p.m.
• Pay Range: $40-$50/hr depending on benefits and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SAFETY ENGINEER:

• Monitor progress on completion of SW/SFMEA and planning and management of implementation of engineering controls.
• Daily review and update progress

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR SAFETY ENGINEER:

• BS in Manufacturing Engineering or EHS related field

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SAFETY ENGINEER:

• Microsoft office, Operations documentation, and Project Management.
