Senior Power System Studies Engineer

The Senior Power Studies Engineer will serve as a technical expert in analyzing, designing, and optimizing electrical power systems, focusing primarily on renewable energy projects. Responsibilities include managing complex projects from start to finish, ensuring power quality, reliability, and system efficiency.

Essential Functions

• Manage project design, specifications, planning, and quality assurance
• Conduct electrical studies (Arc Flash, Short Circuit, Coordination, Grounding, Harmonic, and Transient) using various software tools
• Assist in creating and reviewing medium voltage electrical drawings and system models for solar, wind and grid modernization projects
• Facilitate stakeholder and client meetings, providing high-level consultancy.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in an engineering firm or EPC
• 2+ years of project management experience
• Proficiency in software tools like CYMCAP, SKM, ETAP, PSSE, PSCAD, or CDEGS
• Knowledge of engineering and renewable energy systems, including grounding and electrical studies
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with a positive professional attitude
