Process EngineerSummary:Supports the production of key Global Advanced Metals product lines by providing technical expertise to control the quality, yield, and manufacturability of assigned products. Leads the development and implementation of key manufacturing improvement initiatives.Essential Functions:Own and ensure the accuracy and efficacy of Production Control Plans, Recipes, Raw Material Specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures for assigned product lines.Evaluate and mitigate risks through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for assigned product lines and production units.Understand the components of assigned product line standard costs and analyze and recommend corrections to manufacturing variances.Provide technical leadership for problem-solving and troubleshooting within the facility.Ensure systems are in place to initiate, modify, review, and communicate manufacturing specifications in line with customer requirements and machine capabilities.Lead the development of implementation plans to achieve plant objectives, transfer technology, best practices, quality improvements, and other enhancement efforts.Maintain the integrity of manufacturing and management of change processes, including formulation changes, technical specification changes, new products/materials in production, and engineering changes.Support product line capital investment projects linked to capability/capacity up to completion.Review processes and procedures to ensure product uniformity and reduce off-quality generation opportunities.What are we looking for:BS or MS in Chemical EngineeringTechnical knowledge of process and product technology.Familiarity with Recipe Management.Knowledge of controlling and monitoring diverse chemical plant operations, including metal digestion, liquid/liquid extraction, crystallization, and product property measurement.Knowledge of controlling and monitoring powder handling processes, such as blending, sieving, transport, and packaging, including product property measurement.Ability to apply statistical analysis in a manufacturing environment.Understanding of statistical process control.Ability to apply Lean Six Sigma analytical methods.Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.What's in it for you:Competitive paySupport many different projectsWork with an engineering team with over 100 years of combined experienceClear path for growthWorksite:OnsiteWill be both in the office and in the manufacturing millThe mill is loud and hot and requires PPE to enterLocation:Near Reading, PAAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
