Cognos Developer

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop reports & dashboards primarily using Cognos Report Studio, Framework Model, and various Cognos tools against SAP, SAP BW, Cognos cubes, and other data marts.
2. Design and develop ETL for data extractions from Cognos EP and other systems on an as-needed basis.
3. Ensure delivery of all project deliverables in accordance with project schedule.
4. Suggest and develop improvements and solutions to existing problems. Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes.
5. Provide and assist in production support and ensure reporting jobs complete on time.
6. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more areas within the department as needed.

Skills:

• Full understanding of the report development life cycle from an operational database into a Data Warehouse with results in a Cognos report.
• Prior experience in troubleshooting report and query problems and performance improvement techniques.
