We are looking for a passionate Software Test Engineer to help our customer to build, maintain, and troubleshoot our Security solution using Versa Networks’ carrier grade products. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competence and deliver mission critical infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop and execute test plans for testing Layer 2 protocols such as DOT1X, EVPN, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, VRRP, multi chassis LAG, and virtual chassis.
- Design, develop and execute test plans for testing software features on Layer 3 protocols such as IPV4, IPV6, OSPF and BGP
- Experience with CISCO ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Commercial switches and routers from Arista, CISCO, Juniper is highly desired.
- Automate test cases using Python programming language for testing various software features.
- Design network topologies for testing Layer 2, Layer 3 protocol functionalities using commercial traffic generator tools from IXIA and SPIRENT.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience as Software Test Engineer, Senior Software Test Engineer, Technical Lead, Staff Test Engineer, Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Engineer, Engineer-Software Engineering, or a related occupation required.
The required work experience must include 5 years of experience using the following skills:
- Layer 3 protocols including IPV4, IPV6, BGP and OSPF
- Layer 2 protocols including DOT1X, EVPN, MSTP, RSTP, LACP, VRRP, multi chassis LAG, and virtual chassis.
- Experience with CISCO ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Commercial switches and routers from Arista, CISCO, Juniper is highly desired.
- Python programming language; and
- Traffic generator tools from IXIA and SPIRENT.
