Responsibilities:

1. Establishes, designs, and specifies project-appropriate engineering requirements.
2. Leads the execution of site investigations and observations.
3. Prepares narratives, reports, calculations, drawing, and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints.
4. Performs cross-discipline discussions and coordination.
5. Assists with reviews of engineering documents for quality and compliance with code and program requirements.
6. Participates in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, solving construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept.
7. Plans and directs the work of EITs and designers.
8. Mentors and encourages the development of junior professionals and designers.
9. Independently attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development.
10. Assists with marketing and business development activities including building relationships with key clients and strategic partners, proposal writing, estimates, and client interviews.
11. Travel for marketing and project-related activities will be required.

Qualifications:

1. 4+ years licensed experience.
2. ABET-accredited degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
3. Registered Professional Engineer required.
4. Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards.
5. Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD required.
6. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency using industry standard calculation software required.
7. Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
8. Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
