The Department of Computer Science (CS) in the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure track Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor-in-Residence position in the area of Cybersecurity, commencing Fall 2025.

The standard teaching load for this non-tenure track position is 4 courses (12 credits) per semester, and two semesters per year. Additional teaching opportunities during the summer may be available for extra compensation. The position requires teaching online-only undergraduate courses in cybersecurity offered by the department. Additional responsibilities may include advising and mentoring students, course development, engaging in service activities, and fostering a sense of community and belonging within the entirely online undergraduate cybersecurity program.

This position is housed within the Department of Computer Science in the Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering. The cybersecurity programs at UNLV are interdisciplinary, involving faculty from the information systems group in the Lee Business College and faculty from the College of Engineering, primarily within the Computer Science Department. The undergraduate cybersecurity program is under the direction of the Director of Cybersecurity, who also manages this program and the MS Cybersecurity program.
