Job Description:
Execute tests on Broadcom's world class lineup of WiFi combo modules targeted at the cellular and tablet markets. Take responsibility for testing blocks on one or more chips or test areas. You will be part of a team responsible for quality assurance of the Access point features. Engage and be responsible for executing tests, data analysis, investigating and debugging a variety of issues, and resolving all issues related to test infrastructure. This will include ownership for the test station including calibration, configuration, and debug. You will be working with a team of experienced engineers and interact with a variety of other design teams within Broadcom to carry out your work.
Responsibilities:
- Have 802.11 (11n, ac, ax, be) testing experience
- Clarify and document test requirements
- Have Dev-ops automation experience
- Execute tests using in-house software (on Linux)
- Proficient in Tcl or Python scripting and have good automation skills
- Debug test issues and station issues
- Generate test reports
- Analyze reports for failures, performance degradation, and other anomalies
- File detailed bug reports
- Work with design teams to troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve product issues
It is expected that this person will be able to understand higher level plans and execute to achieve them while working independently and clearly documenting the work completed. This person will interact with many other teams as we work to drive defects to zero. As such a proactive person with strong communications skills is desired.
Experience:
Bachelor's and 12+ years of related experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
The annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $210,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
