The Plant Engineer will be vital in overseeing multi-site engineering projects, plant reliability, and 1-3- year budgeting. This role requires strong project management skills, reliability-centered maintenance, communication, and technical expertise in the relevant engineering disciplines. The Plant Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver successful project and improvement program outcomes.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time.

· Project Planning and Coordination:

o Develop project scope, safety review, goals, and deliverables.

o Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, and risk assessments.

o Coordinate project schedules and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.

· Plant Reliability Oversight:

o Lead development and influence maintenance team to the successful implementation of a Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) program: IR, Ultrasonic and Vibration.

o Track and eliminate repetitive downtime occurrences that limit the quality and rate for the plant.

o Monitor PLC alarms and develop action plans for reduction of high-level detractor events.

o Perform or guide RCAs related to special cause downtime “top 10 detractors.”

o Support the plant maintenance lead in execution of the CMMS and pro-active maintenance programs including safety-related enhancements, equipment criticality (FMEA), lubrication, spare parts, and work instructions.

· Team Collaboration:

o Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and clients.

o Work with cross-functional teams (design, procurement, construction) to ensure project integration.

o Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

o Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

o Ensure that engineering designs and deliverables meet regulatory and quality standards.

o Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents.

· Budget and Cost Management:

o Develop and maintain a backlog of critical projects and improvement efforts.

o Identify and present project, annual and long-term budgeting and financial reporting.

o Track and manage project costs, ensuring expenditures remain within the approved budget.

o Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

· Risk Management and Problem-Solving:

o Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

o Resolve any technical issues through collaborating with team members as necessary.

o Provide for successful project start-up by executing MOC documentation related to EHS, operations, maintenance, and financials and complete critical tasks prior to start-up.

· Documentation and Reporting:

o Produce weekly reports of KPIs related to reliability.

o Maintain accurate records of project activities, including reports, drawings, and change orders related to capital and expense projects.

o Provide regular project updates to management and stakeholders.

o Produce monthly reports related to yearly key objectives and presentations to the team related to Budget, KO, and key review dates.

EDUCATION, Experience, and TRAINING

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical etc.) or a related field.

· Proven experience in project engineering and plant reliability or a similar role.

· Strong understanding of reliability principles, project management methodologies, and safety standards.

· Proficiency with software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, PLC programing, Excel etc.).

· Ability to read and interpret contracts, regulations, technical drawings and specifications.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Professional Engineer (PE) certification or PMP certification or RCM certification (experience will be accepted).

· Experience with specific industry software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

· Experience in manufacturing related to Agricultural, Chemical, or Food.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
