Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Backend Service Engineer to ensure the optimal performance, security, and scalability of our production systems. The ideal candidate will act as the primary point of contact for LiveOps/GCX, dealing with service incidents, and collaborating closely with both the core engineering team and infrastructure teams to address bugs, deploy services, and manage service capacity during high-traffic events. This role requires a dedication to architectural and process improvements for enhanced service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure system availability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Serve as the primary liaison for LiveOps/GCX for incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with the core engineering team and infrastructure teams to deploy services and manage capacity.
• Provide architectural and process improvement recommendations.
• Create and maintain service health dashboards and implement alarms for monitoring.

Must-Have Skills:

• Expertise in Java, Go, or C++.
• Experience in developing scalable distributed systems.
• Proficiency in designing and building RESTful APIs.

Industry Experience:

• Proven track record in a similar backend service engineering role within tech or related industries.
• Experience with event-driven applications and modern continuous delivery principles is essential.

Desirable Skills:

• Hands-on experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with WebSocket implementations.
