The Systems Engineering (SE) Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon, responsible for defining customer needs, functional and product architecture, requirements definition and decomposition, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system performance, and System Security Engineering (SSE).
The Land Warfare and Missile Defense Systems (LWMDS) is looking for an exceptional Principal Systems Engineer to join our department. We lead all aspects of Systems Engineering that facilitate the development of complex systems to support various Raytheon programs around the world. The LWMDS department supports Raytheon by cultivating a world-class group of systems thinkers who work together as a team to create technical solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems. Key technical domains include Radar Systems and Sensor Netting, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Network Design, Battlespace Integration, and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers

This is an Onsite role in Louisville, Kentucky
What You will Do :
- Your will perform Systems Engineering activities on one of our many sensors, effectors, or weapon systems program.
- You will be responsible for conducting trade studies, developing requirements, updating and maintaining Interface Description Documents, performing analysis, updating factory test and acceptance test procedures
- You will collaborate with other stakeholders such as customers and engineers from outside of Raytheon.
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and eight (8) years or more of documented Engineering work and/or academic experience in the following areas:
- Experience with Missile Defense Systems or other related systems engineering experience
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer :
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Physics, or Math
- Experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense systems including radar, interceptor, Command and Control systems
- Experience using DOORs
- Experience collaborating with other stakeholders
